Privacy Policy
Effective September 26, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Lottara LLC collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you use the Lottara mobile application, website, and related services.
1. Who we are and what this policy covers
Lottara LLC is a Florida limited liability company. In this policy, “Lottara,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Lottara LLC. This policy applies to the Lottara app, the website at lottara.app, support communications, and services that link to this policy.
Lottara provides informational, organizational, and recordkeeping tools. It is not a lottery operator or retailer. Official lottery rules, tickets, records, and validations control.
2. Information we collect
Account and contact information
We collect information you provide when you create or maintain an account, such as your name, display name, username, email address, password in hashed form, state or primary lottery jurisdiction, time zone, optional telephone number, optional mailing address, and optional profile photo and photo-visibility choice.
Lottery, ticket, and pool information
We collect information you enter, scan, or upload to use Lottara features. This can include favorite games, saved number sets, draw-ticket and Scratch-Off details, play lines, draw dates, ticket costs, retailers, notes, estimated or confirmed winnings, ticket images, pool names and identifiers, pool invitations, memberships, share allocations, contribution and payment-status records, pool agreements, uploaded pool-ticket photos, review flags, and pool audit history.
Images and AI-assisted ticket scanning
If you choose AI-assisted ticket scanning, the app sends a compressed ticket image to our service and to OpenAI to transcribe ticket details or estimate a Scratch-Off result. We request that the AI response not be stored by the model provider. The raw image used for a personal AI scan is not saved in My Tickets by that scan operation. If you separately save or upload an image as a pool-ticket photo, that copy is retained with the pool record and is visible to authorized pool members.
Location information
With your permission, Lottara may use your current device location when you ask to find published winner or retailer information nearby or to help identify a retailer. A requested nearby search can send coordinates and a search radius to our service. If you choose to save a home location for alerts, we retain its coordinates, precision, source, update time, and selected alert radius until you change or delete it. You can deny or revoke device-location permission in iOS Settings.
Device, security, and service-use information
We collect information needed to authenticate and secure the service, such as session and verification tokens, device-installation details, push-notification tokens if enabled, login and security events, IP address and request metadata, feature usage and allowance records, notification preferences, and diagnostic information.
Subscription and transaction information
If you obtain Premium through Apple, we receive subscription entitlement and transaction identifiers needed to confirm access and maintain subscription status. Apple processes your payment information; Lottara does not receive your full payment-card number.
Advertising and consent information
For eligible free accounts, Google Mobile Ads and Google’s User Messaging Platform may process device and app information, IP address, coarse location inferred from IP, consent choices, ad impressions, and ad interactions. Lottara’s current implementation requests non-personalized ads and disables the Google publisher first-party identifier, but Google may still use contextual information and limited device data to deliver, measure, prevent fraud, and report on ads.
Website and support information
When you visit our website or contact us, we and our website or email providers may receive your IP address, browser and device information, access logs, cookies or similar site data, and the content and contact information included in your message.
3. How we use information
- Provide, maintain, personalize, and improve Lottara and its account, ticket, pool, result, map, alert, and subscription features.
- Authenticate users; verify email addresses; protect accounts; prevent abuse, fraud, duplicate actions, and security incidents.
- Process pool invitations and preserve accurate ticket, allocation, contribution, and audit records for pool members.
- Send transactional, security, invitation, and requested results communications and deliver enabled notifications.
- Provide AI-assisted ticket transcription or result estimation when you request it.
- Show and measure ads for eligible free accounts after required consent handling, and provide Premium ad-free access.
- Operate, analyze, troubleshoot, and improve service reliability and performance.
- Comply with law, enforce our terms and policies, and protect Lottara, users, and others.
4. How we disclose information
We may disclose information in the following circumstances:
- With pool participants. Authorized members can see the pool information needed to participate and review the shared record, including member identity, allowed profile photos, invitations, tickets and photos, shares, contribution or payment status, winnings, agreements, and audit history.
- With service providers. Vendors process information for hosting, databases, storage, email delivery, security, support, app distribution, subscriptions, advertising and consent, and AI-assisted ticket scanning. These include Apple, Google, OpenAI, Squarespace, our cloud-hosting providers, and our email-delivery provider, as applicable to the feature you use.
- For legal and safety reasons. We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law or legal process; enforce agreements; investigate fraud, abuse, or security issues; or protect rights, safety, and property.
- In a business transaction. Information may be transferred as part of a financing, merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate safeguards.
- With your direction. We may disclose information when you ask us to or otherwise consent.
Lottara does not sell your personal information.
5. Advertising and your privacy choices
Eligible free accounts may see clearly labeled Google native ads on selected app screens. Premium accounts do not receive these Lottara ad placements. Where required, Lottara asks Google’s consent service for the appropriate privacy message before requesting an ad. If Google determines that privacy options are required for you, the app displays an Ad Privacy Choices control so you can review or change your selection.
Google’s use of information is also governed by its own policies. Learn more at Google’s Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
6. Retention and account deletion
We retain information for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, maintain security and accurate records, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention depends on the type of information and why it is held.
When you delete your Lottara account, you can no longer sign in. We delete or anonymize account identity, contact information, profile photo, saved location, sessions and tokens, personal saved-number records, non-pooled personal tickets, subscription records, and other non-pool account data, subject to limited backups, legal obligations, and security records.
Pool-history exception: accepted pool memberships, pooled tickets and photos, share allocations, contribution or payment-status records, winnings, agreements, and audit history may remain in anonymized form so surviving members retain an accurate shared record. Your display identity is replaced with “Deleted member.” A pool organized by a deleted account is not transferred; it remains available to existing members as a read-only historical record, and pending invitations are revoked.
7. Your controls and privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, or objection; to withdraw consent; or to appeal a decision about a privacy request. You may also have the right to complain to a data-protection authority.
- Update available account, profile, contact, location, and notification settings in the app.
- Control location access in iOS Settings.
- Use Ad Privacy Choices in the app when that control is required and available.
- Delete your account through the in-app account controls.
- Email us to make another privacy request. We may need to verify your identity before completing it.
Lottara does not presently use personal information for automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects. We will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights.
8. Security and international processing
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including access controls, authentication, and encrypted network transport. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Lottara and its providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where required, we use recognized safeguards for international transfers. Laws in those locations may differ from the laws where you live.
9. Children and responsible play
Lottara is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Do not use Lottara to participate in lottery activity unless you meet the legal age and other requirements that apply in your jurisdiction. If you believe a child provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
10. Third-party content and links
Lottara may display or link to official lotteries, retailers, maps, videos, app stores, advertisers, and other third-party services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. Lottara is not responsible for third-party services that we do not control.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Lottara changes or as legal requirements evolve. We will post the updated policy here and change the effective date. If a change is material, we may also provide notice in the app, by email, or through another appropriate method.
12. Contact us
Contact us with privacy questions or requests. Please do not email passwords, full payment details, or unredacted lottery-ticket images.
